Jane Choe is a Los Angeles-based artist who makes paintings, drawings, video art and installations. She has shown at Proxy Place Gallery and Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles, and Fifty 24SF Gallery in San Francisco. Jane has appeared in Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, and her work hangs in David Chang's famed restaurant Momofuko in New York City.
Jane draws inspiration from her childhood in Korea, her family, her interest in toys, and the Bible. She moved to the United States from South Korea in 1973 seeking a new adventure. In the US she raised three boys and built a loving family with her husband Jimmy. Jane loves ballet and hiking, and regularly participates in slumber parties with her high school friends from South Korea, all now living in Los Angeles.
